Tithes & Offerings: What's the Difference?
The Tithe: The tithe is 10% of your income, given back to God as an act of worship and obedience. "Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house." — Malachi 3:10
The Offering: An offering is anything given above the tithe—a Spirit-led expression of gratitude and faith.
The tithe sustains the church. The offering expands the mission.
Faith Promise: Missions Month
Every September, we celebrate Missions Month at Bayside Chapel!
During this special season, we rally together to support missionaries and mission projects around the world. Through the Faith Promise, we invite you to prayerfully ask God what He's calling you to give above and beyond your regular tithe—trusting Him to provide as you step out in faith.
Throughout September, you'll hear inspiring stories from the mission field, meet missionaries we support, and have opportunities to give toward life-changing work happening around the globe.
